i got to try on wedding gowns today for the first time EVER! 😍 it was so special to have my mom, my sister, and two of my aunts there with me. @adorebridalga had such a great selection, wonderful customer service, and it was SO beautiful! 🥰💓 it is starting to feel so real! im going to be a bride!!! 😱😱😱

RINGING IN 2021 WITH A FIANCÉ 🖤
to be honest, i never would’ve imagined i could be in a happy, healthy, Christ-centered relationship. before Hayden, i thought i would never find someone to spend forever with. and, i know a lot of young women feel the same way. so i want to share five pieces of advice for the girl who feels like she will never find the man of her dreams.
1: take a deep breath. remember that God is the Author of your story. if He wants you to be in a marriage relationship, it will happen. there is freedom in knowing your future is not your own. it is His.
2: if you are looking for a man who pursues God before anything, make sure to look in the right places. the man you have prayed for is not going to be the guy who pulls you towards sin. he isn’t trying to convince you to get drunk and go home with him. he isn’t asking you for inappropriate pictures. he isn’t asking you for sex before marriage. he doesn’t cheat on you, and hurt you continuously.
3: before looking for the right person, BE the right person. honestly ask yourself... “Am I the type of woman that a guy I hope for would want?” if you want someone who pursues a relationship with God, are you pursuing that?
4: view your season of singleness as an opportunity to grow on your own. find your passions, find your talents, find yourself. you will be so glad you have valuable skills, cool experiences, and fun conversations starters when you are in a relationship.
5: lastly, pray intentionally for your future husband. i don’t know where he is, or what he is doing, or when you will fall in love with him. but, i do know that praying for his heart, and his mind will be a blessing to him right now.
he is so worth the wait, girl.

but, i promise it is for good reason! i started my new job, i am moving back to the midwest, i am planning my wedding, and let me tell you... my brain is CLUTTERED 🧠 it would be so easy to feel overwhelmed, stressed or anxious. but, i am viewing each of these CRAZY adventures (that are happening all at once) as blessings. because that is what they are! hayden + i spent months praying for me to get the right job. we prayed for opportunity for me to move out on my own. and most importantly, we prayed for almost a full year over the timing of our engagement and our marriage. God is showing OFF right now. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽He does big things. miracles. gives us hope. picks us up when we are down. as i adjust to these new changes in my life, you will see me change and grow on my social media. i need to get back into my posting schedule, and i promise i will be back sharing home decor + outfit ideas again soon! i love you guys💓
