FRUIT DIP: THE PERFECT SUMMER RECIPE

I gotta be honest. I am a total fruit-a-holic. Especially in the summertime. Can you relate? Fresh strawberries, those sour green grapes, pineapple, and raspberries are some of my favorite fruits to snack on when it’s hot outside. Good for you, refreshing, and delicious! You cannot go wrong. But, sometimes I want a little extra “sweet” to put with my fruit. I have the perfect solution, and now I want to share my secret recipe with you. Creamy and delicious fruit dip! Every time I eat it, it takes me back to summertime in the early 2000’s, watching Arthur on PBS Kids, haha! Anyways, let’s get to it!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 Large Tub of Cool Whip
  • 1 Large Packet of Jell-O Vanilla Pudding Powder
  • Milk
  • 8 oz. Cream Cheese
  • Powdered Sugar

INSTRUCTIONS:

Combine cream cheese, and pudding powder into a large mixing bowl. Add Cool Whip to mixture and mix until smooth. If the consistency is too thick, add small amounts of milk. If the consistency is too thin, add powdered sugar. Continue mixing until it is a consistency similar to the cream cheese, and refrigerate. Enjoy with fruit of your choice when you are ready to serve.

This little treat is simple to make, and adds the perfect amount of sweetness to your favorite fruit. Take it to a family reunion, or a picnic. Pack it in a school lunch, or a work lunch. Take it to a friend who needs a little “pick-me-up”. I grew up eating fruit dip with strawberries, grapes, apples, raspberries, blackberries, or pineapple. What are you planning on trying it with?
